Product Reviews and Industry Awards Show Dedication to Innovation, Leadership in Network Security.

SEATTLE – March 28, 2013. WatchGuard® Technologies, a global leader in manageable business security solutions, today announced that it received multiple awards and top ratings from industry sources in the first quarter of 2013, honoring excellence in the company's partner program and in its products. The company was recognized with awards from CRN, SC Magazine, and Info Security Product Guide, and achieved a five-star review of its XTM product from SC Magazine.

The recognition from industry sources follows several significant new product announcements made by the company in the first quarter. These include the launch of two new Wireless Access Points, seven new XTM models, and updated features designed to provide customers with increased functionality while maintaining a high level of manageability.

The most recent WatchGuard awards include:

• CRN 2013 Partner Program Guide recognizes and rates partner programs of vendors who provide products to the IT Channel. WatchGuard received the 5-Star Partner Program rating for the third consecutive year, which recognizes an elite subset of Partner Program Guide vendors who provide the best products or services in their channel programs.
• Info Security Products Guide's 2013 Global Excellence Awards honors security and IT vendors providing advanced, ground-breaking products and solutions that are helping set the bar higher for others in the area of security and other technologies. The WatchGuard XTM 5 Series was named a Silver Winner in the Security Products and Solutions for Medium Enterprises category. This is the fourth consecutive year that WatchGuard has been recognized in the Global Excellence Awards.
• SC Magazine (UK) Awards is an annual recognition to honor security professionals and vendors that deliver innovative security services and technologies. WatchGuard's XTM 5 Series was announced as a finalist on the 2013 shortlist in the Best SME Security Solution category. Winners in each category will be announced at a formal ceremony on April 23, 2013 in London.

• SC Magazine - UTM Review tested WatchGuard's XTM 830 product and awarded it a five-star 'Recommended' rating. SC Magazine summarized the product as "an excellent enterprise-grade perimeter defense against viruses, spam and other unwelcome traffic – and includes a number of other features all in one easy-to-administer device."
