Enhanced performance of the XCS 1180 critical to managing rising volume of email traffic and spear phishing attacks.

SEATTLE -- March 24, 2013 -- WatchGuard® Technologies, a global leader in manageable business security solutions, today announced an enhanced content security solution which allows enterprise customers and messaging service providers to securely transmit and receive up to 30 percent more email messages than previous generations. The increased performance of the WatchGuard XCS 1180, which is part of the company's Extensible Content Security solutions platform, is critical to helping large organizations defend against email attacks such as spear phishing, for which email is the top point of entry.
