Company also honored with Best Hardware of the Year award for its powerful Firebox M440 Next Generation and Unified Threat Management Firewall

SEATTLE - March 26, 2015 - WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in multi-function security appliances, today announced it was named Company of the Year at the 2015 Network Computing Awards. The company also received Best Hardware Product of the Year award honors for its new multi-function firewall, the Firebox M440. Based on readers' nominations and votes from Network Computing Magazine, these awards recognize industry-wide technology, tools, solutions, products and companies that are at the forefront of the evolving technology market.

The Firebox M440, a powerful Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance released in late 2014, is the first appliance truly rich in independent ports, removing the need for complex configurations. This makes it easy for administrators or security professionals to apply the right security policies to the correct network segment. It also includes WatchGuard Dimension, last year's Network Computing Award Product of the Year, which brings big data visibility to network security, without the associated cost or complexity.
